ZOOM GLAM FOR THE HOLIDAYS

ZOOM GLAM FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Tis' the season for family gatherings, Friendsgivings, holiday parties and gift exchanges... but none of that will be the same this year thanks to Coronavirus. Instead of going home for the holidays, a lot of us will be on Zoom for the holidays. We will gather around a computer, laptop, phone or tablet trying to reimagine what it means to be together and hold on to the sparkle and magic that only the final months of the year can bring.

So, how do we navigate this new world? We've been doing it for months but it feels different after holding out hope that our sacrifices would manifest more freedom by this point in the year. How can we hold on to that warm and fuzzy feeling and not allow the distance to get in the way? While we don't have all the answers, we do have one piece of advice that will lift your spirits and give you something to look forward to. One of the easiest and most effective ways to keep that holiday charm and delight, even over Zoom, is with style. Planning out your outfit gives you something to look forward to, something to brag about and can even be a little surprise for whoever is on your Zoom chat.

Right now you're probably thinking "on top of everything else going on, who has time to plan anything extra?" No worries Queen! We've narrowed down the top three points for you and it's much easier than you think.

The first piece of advice is to embrace making a big statement on your Zoom or virtual space by highlighting your shoulders or neckline.

Let's be honest, Zoom chats are all about what you can see and most times it's just the waist up. That makes it a little easier to get the ball rolling with stepping up your Zoom swag because you can simply put on a statement shirt and let it do the work for you.

Here are a few examples of statement shirts.

Knit Bubble Ruffle Sleeve Top

My Sexy Top

Asymmetrical Top

If statement shirts aren't your thing or you think it's not quite right for your particular Zoom call, no worries! Another option is to use accessories. Necklaces, bracelets (for those of us who talk with our hands), earrings, personality glasses, headwraps and headbands can spice up a basic tee or plain dress. They are also perfectly framed for Zoom because they are well-above the waist line.

Here are some options from a few of our favorite accessory lines.

Damask Turban Headband

Kiwi Tassel Earrings

SMARTY PANTS GLASSES

A way to have the best of both worlds for your Zoom chat is to wear a shirt or dress that has texture and/or pattern. This option isn't as dramatic as wearing a statement shirt and it doesn't require keeping up with accessories.

Here are some options for wearing patterns or textures.

Newspaper Print Shirt

Stepping Out Midi Dress

Mock Neck Half and Half Top
